Infographic

This is an infographic that really draws attention to me because, it is talking about the Olympics in the shape of a torch which is an Olympic tradition.

The Dictionary defines the term Infographic as a visual image such as a chart or diagram used to represent information or data. What that means is that in an Infographic holds information in the shape of a picture somewhat representing the topic that it is about. In this case it is representing Olympic Data.

Infographics provide information through a creative picture. It is a "creative" way to give a presentation, look at Data, etc. Anyone gets all the information that they would get if they were just looking at a bunch of documents, which is boring!

Infographics work in a creative, cool, fun way! For example, my infographic, one would easily be able to tell that Cricket was played in the 1900 Paris Olympics. In this case I went down to Cricket listed in all of the activities found a dot, and then was able to tell it was played in the 1900 Paris Olympics. Our brain uses peripheral vision to look at images so that way, when we shuffle through sites (we all do it) and we stumble upon an infographic it catches our peripheral vision and catches our eye.

In my personal opinion, a good infographic is made by lots of pictures to represent data, because the human eye is more attracted to pictures instead of data. Instead of sitting in a business meeting or a corporate presentation and listening to them explain a boring graph, an infographic would instead keep people interested in your topic.
